Gāyatri Mantra Jap (Mānasika – mental Jap) on Sunday, October 29th for PA Governor office.

The Governor of Pennsylvania has proclaimed October as Hindu Heritage Month in North America. We will reciprocate our appreciation in a spiritual way. Temple is planning a one hour of collective Gāyatri Mantra Jap (Mānasika – mental Jap) on Sunday, October 29th from 10:30AM to 11:30AM for the Governor office. May the power of Gāyatri Mantra give continuing strength and wisdom to the Governor office for the service of its citizens.

Jap (one or more mala) can be done during 10:30AM to 11:30AM on October 29^th either by an individual or a couple or a group of people by sitting near Shiva Parivar. It takes apx.10 minutes to complete one mala of 108 beads. The only thing you need to bring is a jap mala (beads) and an āsan (mat). We meditate on Brahman (Bhagwan), who is the giver of life, destroyer of sufferings, embodiment of happiness, who is bright, luminous like the Sun, who is glorious and the destroyer of negative tendencies. May Bhagwan guide our intellect (Buddhi) in the right direction.
