Come celebrate World Bindi Day this October 15, 2023! The bindi is a very important symbol to Hindus. It comes from the Sanskrit word “bindu” (meaning point, drop, or dot) and is also called bottu, kumkum, indoor, teep & tikli. The bindi is placed on top of the Ajna chakra (brow/third eye chakra) and enhances its ability. This allows Hindus to intercept the truth, let go of their ego, let go of false labels, and go deep within to reach their guru/wisdom. The bindi also serves as a reminder to keep Bhagwan in our thoughts as it is on the third eye.
