CELEBRATION OF HINDU HERITAGE MONTH (HHM)/HINDU AMERICAN AWARENESS & APPRECIATION MONTH (HAAAM) OCTOBER 2021 IN SOUTH FLORIDA

Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (World Hindu Council of America) and Hindu American Foundation (HAF) volunteers worked together to get HHM/HAAAM Proclamations. List of proclamations is provided at the end.

The celebration started with the receipt of HHM/HAAAM Proclamation (the first in the USA) by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. It was subsequently followed by the mayors of the three counties in Southeast Florida – Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami – Dade. This trend continued with suburban city mayors and officials, who also declared the month of October as HHM/HAAAM without hesitation and unequivocally gave their unanimous approval.

There were many celebrations at several Hindu Mandirs in Southeast Florida during month of October, e.g., Navaratri, Dussehra, Poojas, Prayers and Satsang.
